MoBu Fusion Cafe
This restaurant recently opened up in Boca Raton, Florida and is not only a dine in establishment but also offers takeout, delivery, and catering; they serve brunch, lunch, and dinner. Chef Monique who is also the co-owner, is trained in French, Asian, and Caribbean cuisine; you can see this culinary style on the menu which also changes throughout the seasons. It’s a quaint restaurant with an outdoor patio dining area and plenty of free parking right outside. Here’s a bonus, they’re gluten conscious, vegan/vegetarian friendly, and will work with any food allergies a patron may have.
I was invited by my fellow blogger, Katy from Savor Tonight and MoBu Fusion Cafe to an exclusive VIP brunch to taste some of the items on their menu. We dined in their shaded outdoor patio on a warm, Florida, Sunday morning.
Disclaimer: The meals and drinks were complimentary, however, my opinions expressed in this blog post are truthful to my experience.

Beverage: Mimosa
What is brunch without a mimosa? We started off with Natalie’s fresh squeezed orange juice and champagne. This was a tasty mimosa especially because they used fresh squeezed orange juice.

Appetizer: Tuna Poke
This plate was beautifully put together; it was like art on a plate. The tuna was fresh and flavorful. It consists of sushi grade tuna loin, crackers, avocado veganaise, and salsa de aji amarillo. The mini edible flowers were a nice touch. I would definitely order that when I go back!

Course Two: Banana Bread French Toast
This is what dreams are made of! and it’s gluten conscious. If you’re a sweet tooth, this is the perfect brunch option for you. It was not overly sweet and just the perfect amount of sauce and fruit. This dish consisted of banana bread, banana foster, Marsala wine whipped cream, berries, and cage free eggs. The bananas were super delicious and the bread was nice and soft. I could totally devour that whole plate.

Course Three (Part One): Crab Egg Benedict
If you know me, you know I absolutely love egg Benedict! So naturally, this was my absolute favorite dish. We were served a plate of four egg bennies and boy did those look mouth-watering and tasted just as good as it looks. I loved the sweetness of the crab patty, the whole thing tied in together perfectly. This consisted of crab lump cakes served on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, sweet peppers, and onions.

Course Three (Part Two): Tuna Poke Bowl
This poke bowl was good but needed more dressing. It was a little dry, I would ask for a side of ginger dressing and the bowl would be perfect. There’s sushi grade tuna loin (same as the appetizer above), quinoa brown rice, avocado, sesame seeds, and cucumbers. This is a refreshing and healthy bowl of tuna, quinoa, and brown rice. I’m a dressing person so I would need to add more of it. Other than that, this was a good meal!
