Who’s a sushi fan like me?
I was invited to taste the food at Ra Sushi in Pembroke, Pines Florida. Their first location was opened in Arizona and then they branched off into 23 locations in 9 states. Ra Sushi is currently doing a fundraiser; every food item mentioned that is ordered at Ra Sushi, two dollars will be donated to St. Jude Hospital for research, prevention, and treatment of pediatric diseases – good food for a good cause.
The restaurant was pretty big with gorgeous decor; loving the red balls hanging from the ceiling. There’s a bar and a sushi bar with the chefs working really hard. The staff was super friendly, I’d definitely go back to check out the rest of their menu.
Disclaimer: The meals and drinks were complimentary, however, my opinions expressed in this blog post are truthful to my experience.
What was on the fundraiser menu:
1⃣Ra’ckin Shrimp Tacos- I could eat ten of those tacos, they were so good. The shrimp had the perfect crunch and the avocado tied it together. It came with three tacos and the shrimp was fried to perfection.
2⃣Mango Shrimp Roll- I’m a super fan of fruity, sweet, and savory food, this was really good. The crunchy shrimp and the sweet delicate mango complemented each other nicely. The roll was pretty big and fulfilling.
4⃣Holy Shishito Margarita- a spicy and hearty margarita with togarashi salt and shishito pepper, reminded me of a Bloody Mary. If you like spicy, you would like this drink. I also recommend their mojito which was nicely done.
Go check out their establishment, the food & drinks were good and the ambiance was on point! I find it even more appealing that some of the food items I will be ordering, a portion of the profits is going to be donated to St. Jude Hospital!
